Just got back from the Laurell Hubick concert at The Rock here in San Francisco. Wish there were more folks to see her and hear about the Not For Sale Campaign - more on that later - but let me offer some thoughts on Laurell. Also, if you want to see some picture from the evenings, click here.
1) She sounds just like her CD. Pure voice with kind of a Ginny Owens thing going on.
2) She is darn right nice. My two daughters really wanted to get an autograph and even though one fell asleep and the other didn't even stay, she was gracious.
3) Her lyrics and style are solid and moving.
You should definitely take a listen over her website. You can also see her on MySpace and Facebook.
Better yet, if you are in SoCal on Monday, July 9th at 7:00, you can see her in person.
