You can ask THAT in church, can you?
I have a three-week series to preach/facilitate/meander through after Easter and am thinking about doing a series on "You can't ask THAT . . ."
- . . . things you re not supposed to talk about in church
- . . . where faith and life converge
- . . . so of course we will
- . . . name the elephant/s in the room
Now of course some will be contextual to MBCC, but if you had to pick a question or two on which the service could be focused, what would you ask?
Some primers
- What would Jesus do about . . .
- What does the Bible say about . . .
- Why does . . .
- What would happen if . . .
- How come the church . . .
Thanks in advance.

Who let the dogs out?
Seriously, though, one of my questions would be "where does our theology come from?" or "what is our theological lineage?". it would be fun to explore how you got to where you are at MBCC today through the people of the past.

A Friend of mine, a pastor from up in Oregon, recently started a sermon series called, "Are we really going to talk about...?" http://www.greggsgambles.com/2008/01/08/are-we-really-going-to-talk-about/
Things like hell, and environmentalism, and communion. Check it out.
