God, San Francisco and that Nature stuff

This morning I took a few minutes before class and went up to Twin Peaks here in San Francisco, one of the best views in The City.  I fully-embrace my snobby view of San Francisco and am mostly joking when I say that God lives in San Francisco and vacations in other places because God wants to put on airs of loving all places equally.  Jokes people.

But you have to give me this AM.  Here are a couple of pics and a quick vid to prove my point.

This is why everyone wishes that if but for a few weeks they too could live in San Francisco.

Wow, that's a great view. And I thought Coit Tower was good!

Brings back memories of home. I used to bike up there and take in the view. Our x-country team used to run up there and back to Lowell. But let's be honest. A clear day at Twin Peaks? That happens about once a year.

I've travelled to many cities around the world and San Francisco continues to be one of my favourites. I LOVE the fog rolling in over the Golden Gate Bridge.
And if you love San Fran, I encourage you to visit Istanbul. The hills, bridges and trolleys are very similar. And while there, head down to visit the seven churches of Revelation.

I loved it too. It was nice to spend 1:20 in my favorite city. Thanks Bruce.

For Thought

  • Quote "Peace"
“Peace it does not mean to be in a place where there is no noise, trouble or hard work. It means to be in the midst of those things and still be calm in your heart.”
  • Benediction
Thank to all who have asked for this. This is a compilation of many different benedictions that I have heard throughout the years, no originality claimed, just some great opportunities to share it.

    Go forth into the world
With compassion and justice in your heart
    Give voice to the silent
    Give strength to the weak
    See one another
    Hear one another
    Care for one another
    And love one another
    It's all that easy
    And it's all that hard

Now may the grace of our Lord, Jesus Christ
    The love of God
And the power of the Holy Spirit
Be with us all, now and forever more
    AMEN
