Our family celebrates Lunar New Year – Though, we always grew up calling it Chinese New Year – as a cultural/social practice, not as a theological/religious one. Big dinner, a little mahjong game and a time to thank my grandparents for all they went through on their journey from China to the United States in order to give future generations a new and hopefully better way of life. Cheesy but true.
This year is Ev’s year, the year of the Rat. Yes, that is correct she turns 12 this year. Someone is getting old.
Happy Lunar New Year!
