Opening Night 2008
There is something about Opening Night in baseball. Last night Eldest and I went the A's home opener with dad and Junie against those dastardly Boston Red Sox. Eldest is still learning the etiquette of baseball rivalries. Every once in a while she would leave over and ask me if it was okay to "boo". As I kept telling her, "Outside the ball park, we must see Christ even in Red Sox fans, but once we enter the field of play, they are the enemy. No mercy my sweet, no mercy!" She thinks her dad is wacky.
Even though they lost 2 to 1, this year should be pretty exciting. At least it will not be as DREADFUL as that other team that shall not be names. Gads.
Let's go Oakland.

you claim you're a san franciscan, yet you root for OAKLAND? I just don't understand you sometimes.

Tis true. My grandfather used to take me when I was younger, so I have deep deep allegiances. Also, just one more way to keep folks on their toes and avoid assuming anything ;-)
