New color scheme suggestions for a blog remodel

Because I have nothing else to do, I am thinking about a face-lift and de-cluttering of my blog in the next few weeks.  I am trying to think of a new color-scheme.  I am leaning towards a PINK/BROWN/BLACK scheme on a WHITE background , but am willing to take some suggestions.

And be forewarned, if you suggest any scheme with a Black Background you run the risk of being mocked as I am way too old for a black background . . . well unless it makes be seem young and hip ;-)

pink/brown/black seems like a shout out to teeny-bopper girls. May be you're really getting in touch with your lovely children. I personally enjoy a black background, but I hear its better for the eyes, too. Mostly, I will laugh out loud if your blog suddenly looks like the inside of limited too.

Praise God for the gift of such a broad and magnificent color spectrum. As a student of the arts, I'm for two complementary colors with one which contrasts one of the two.. maybe an accent of ddff44 with 887766 and ffffee. Congratulations on your additional current role to magnify the God's Word.

Of course I'm partial to a black background. And a white one. Depends on what you're going for. Light and clean/hopeful or moody/artsy/reflective. Frankly, I've always seen you as kind of blue guy.
