Because "Mr. Moderator Goes to Washington" is too long of a title if I am going to blog, twitter and Facebook, the adventure, I am going with "m2w" for the blog posts to save room and "#inaug09" on Twitter.
In this installment, some of the highlights of the time.
Red-eye flight from SF to DC.
Interfaith prayer service with the National Black Caucus foundation then dinner with some Presbyterians in the area.
Be very cold, stand in line, walk around, get through security, stand some more, watch people and be present for this historic moment in American history. Then we get all gussied up and go to a Inaugural Ball.
Possible worship service at National Cathedral and more walking, watching and soaking it all in. The night ends with dinner at the Presbyterian Inaugural Dinner and Meet-up, which sounds a whole heck of a lot more official than it is.
More lunch with local Presbyterians and then flight to the spend time with the Presbyterian College (SC) Winter Retreat and Western North Carolina Presbytery.
