In light of the various narratives about why people are leaving or should leave the Presbyterian Church (USA), I recently posed the question, Why do you choose to stay in the Presbyterian Church (USA)?  Here is one more person sharing why they are staying in the Presbyterian Church (USA) . . .

Why do you choose to stay in the Presbyterian Church (USA)?:
I choose to stay in the Presbyterian Church (USA) because I find that I can more energetically pursue the ministry to which I am called.  When I interact with others from other Reformed bodies, I often find that I have to be apologetic for the color of my skin.  I have had to do less of this in the PCUSA during my 19 years plus of professional ministry in both military settings and the local parish.  Freer of having to be apologetic, I can more energetically pursue the ministry to which I am called.
