In light of the various narratives about why people are leaving or should leave the Presbyterian Church (USA), I recently posed the question, Why do you choose to stay in the Presbyterian Church (USA)?  Here is one more person sharing why they are staying in the Presbyterian Church (USA) . . .

Why do you choose to stay in the Presbyterian Church (USA)?:

I choose to stay in the PCUSA because it is big-hearted enough to welcome both the person I was 25 years ago and the person I am today.

I choose to stay in the PCUSA because I love the bagpipes of our past and the kimchee of our future.

I choose to stay in the PCUSA because I love its open-minded Calvinism and because for all of its faults, more often than not, the PCUSA and the Presbyterian traditions from which it was formed, have born faithful witness to the Kingdom of God by working to transform society in ways that are peaceable and just.
