This very short dear diary series is from a recently discovered print-out (dot matrix on perforated computer paper) of a short-lived journal that I kept during the final semester of my senior year at Luther Burbank High School in Sacramento, CA — in 1987.
I have replaced names with random initials, though those who were in my life during that time will easily be able to figure out who everyone is. I have also kept everything as is with helpful clarifications in [brackets].

Alot has happened since Feb.
J. is gone. I told her they it just wouldn’t work because of the age difference and because I really don’t want to have a relationship especially at school.
K. is gone. I think she’s with H. now.
T. is with B. and he told her that he loves her. Geez, how geeky.
Now I’m talking to K. She is really nice and there’s something about her that makes her really attractive. She’s going on the Senior Fling so that should be interesting.
I got accepted to UC Irvine and Cal Poly. I am going to go to Irvine.
D is still with K., wow, big surprise and F. is still with D.
