Middle with an air of doubt, “No seriously, are you REALLY going to be 45?”

“Why, does that seem old?”

Youngest from the backseat, “Yes.”

Me, “But I’m a young 45 right?”

Middle, “Sure dad.”

Well it is true, on May 3rd, I turn 45. Old to some, still young to others, but is the season in which I find myself — and, all things considered, it is a pretty good season. So to celebrate my birthday, I invite you to celebrate with me.
