I received this note in the Facebook Moderator’s Group from L.J. Show and wanted to put this out for the community to tackle.
Here’s a sort of "aftermath" question: are there any discussions
happening anywhere about the church’s response to the global economic
crisis? As in terms of food pantries going empty, so many people losing
their homes and their lives turned upside down and the very real
potential of a depression? I would hope that missional focus might make
some U-turns to watch these things and then respond with action. All I see in churches where I live is business as usual.
Now I do understand that in some places the effects of the economic crisis may not be fully realized, but even in those cases, what is being done to get ready. Please do share your stories be they from congregations, individuals or other governing bodies.
