In some ways this year’s Lent season has felt more like the preparation of birth of Advent that it has been the wandering in the desert of Lent. Not only did this season include the high school and college application process for two of our kids, but during this time, I’ve been finishing up a book project.
And as I write this post, in the background is printing the complete copy of draft #2. Oh, sound of a purring printer doing its thing knowing that one is entering the editing stage with a final manuscript getting closer and closer to fruition — so very sweet.
That said, posting a journal these past 40 days has been what I had hoped it to be — nothing profound or ground breaking, but a discipline that I had lost. And while I was not as diligent as I could have been, I gave myself permission to not be focused on a destination, but to allow myself to wander and see where I ended up. And that I did do.
Thanks for those who have walked with me through all of my musing and ramblings.
Christ is risen and I’ll see you next year,
