How does one capture an entire year in a few images? Not very well. Still, we can also get a glimpse, and it's fun to look back through the camera roll. Here is my 2025 in 18 images. We begin with a long look at Vespa, the English Bull Terrier, who died in August. Damn, I miss that gravel-eating, weirdo. JANUARY had us starting the year with a public action, because a family that protests genocide together is on the right side of history together. FEBRUARY brings our annual family Lunar New Year celebration and a photo of us fine-looking cousins! Oh, and another action, this one as our migrant siblings are being targeted and terrorized. MARCH meant coffee in hospital rooms because, apparently, this was the month for three relatives to spend time in the hospital. All was fine, but still. Sheesh. APRIL I returned to Palestine for my 3rd and 4th delegations, one being during Holy Week, which was both horrible and holy. And yep, we were invited to participate in a public action. MAY I ran my first half-marathon. Didn't die or barf, so I will take the W. JUNE we spent some time up in the nature and off the grid up at Holden Village in Washington. Met a marmot. JULY meant more time in the nature camping on the coast. And another public action as part of a group, accompanying someone through their immigration process. AUGUST was a family Filipiniana Photoshoot. We clean up alright. SEPTEMBER: our adopted Gma Katherine came in for a visit to help us send Youngest off to her PhD program, and then moved her into her home for the next five years! OCTOBER I got back to Holloween in the Castro. It had been a while, and it was great to be back. NOVEMBER, all the next-gen cousins were in the same place. So grateful for who these humans are becoming. DECEMBER had us celebrating our 35th wedding anniversary and a holiday toast with our Palestinian whiskey (Taybeh) sipped from our Palestinian glass cups (Hebron).
