Not sure if you have heard, but my new book just came out 😜
This week has been a doozy. Intense conversations abound in my life, personally and professionally. I have facilitated some important conversations that folks would rather not have and have heard some hard stories from others. I am not sure that I have been home before 10 pm in the past week. I firmly believe that there are seasons of life and work, so this will settle in time.
The part of the faith montage that comes up today feels almost like I wrote it as a letter to myself for this particular moment and season.
Faith Montage: For the Generosity of God #LetUsPray
Let us pray —
I believe in the GENEROUS spirit of God.
God has been generous to me, so I give back to God all that I have the courage and faith to offer.
When the fear of scarcity causes me to forsake abundance, I choose generosity.
When the insidiousness of convenience causes me to avoid discomfort, I choose generosity.
When capitalism makes me want to commodify what I offer, I choose generosity.
When arrogance causes me to tie strings to my gifts, I choose generosity.
When despair causes me to ask, “Why bother?” I choose generosity.
When I forget that I have chosen to believe that, in life and in death, I belong to God, I choose generosity.
I choose generosity because God has been generous to me.
